The Dutch Internship Covenant, a national agreement that guarantees wind industry internships for vocational students, has been recognised by WindEurope as a leading example of vocational collaboration. At the core of this model are Scalda and Dutch CoVE member NedZero, collaborating through the T-shore CoVE to secure placements and ensure real-world experience for students.
The initiative connects government, industry, and education, and has become a formal part of offshore wind tender criteria in the Netherlands, setting a new benchmark for aligning vocational training with the needs of the energy transition.
This approach is already inspiring others. Denmark’s new wind electrician education — launched by T-shore partner Skive College — was shaped in part by knowledge sharing across the T-shore network, including from this Dutch model.
As WindEurope joins the European Alliance for Apprenticeships, we’re proud to see T-shore’s work reflected in national action and European ambition.
