Last week, Syntra West of Belgium hosted the return of the T-shore Train the Trainer (TTT) programme, marking another milestone in the harmonisation and enhancement of vocational training for offshore wind. Following the success of previous years, the 2025 TTT sessions are now underway, focusing on testing and improving the learning scenarios of the T-shore education modules.
Focus of the Belgium Train the Trainer
This session centered on the Hydraulic Systems in Wind Turbines module, where trainers explored:
✔ Hydraulic fundamentals and their application in real-world wind turbine systems
✔ Hands-on learning with technical equipment to simulate real-life turbine scenarios
✔ Further development of e-learning tools to enhance student engagement
Over the course of several days, T-shore teachers worked in classroom settings, technical workshops, and hands-on training environments to refine the curriculum. They tackled key outstanding issues, ensuring the training methods are aligned across regions and continue to deliver high-quality, practical education.
Why Train the Trainer Matters
The Train the Trainer programme has become a vital part of the T-shore project, driving progress, collaboration, and standardisation across Europe. These sessions play a crucial role in equipping vocational educators with the tools and expertise needed to develop the next generation of offshore wind technicians.
