T-shore is excited to take part in the SHOREWINNER – Blue Energy Summit 2025, an event dedicated to strengthening offshore renewable energy across Southern Europe. With a strong focus on upskilling and reskilling the offshore workforce, this summit brings together key industry and education stakeholders to discuss innovation, training, and future workforce needs.
This event, hosted under the SHOREWINNER Erasmus+ project, is a unique opportunity to build stronger connections between offshore wind training initiatives across Europe. With T-shore representing the Northern European CoVEs and SHOREWINNER leading efforts in Southern Europe, our participation highlights the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing between projects working towards the same goal: ensuring a skilled workforce for the growing offshore wind sector.
T-shore Presentation: Harmonising Through Education
During Session 2, T-shore will present Harmonising Through Education: T-shore’s Approach to Wind Technician Training. Our work focuses on:
- Developing a harmonised training curriculum for offshore wind technicians
- Standardising core skills and competencies needed across Europe
- Collaborating with vocational education and training (VET) providers to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant training
- Using virtual reality (VR) simulations and hands-on experience to prepare trainees for real-world offshore wind careers
With offshore wind energy expanding rapidly, ensuring a consistently trained workforce is critical. By aligning efforts between T-shore and SHOREWINNER, we can share best practices, training models, and industry insights, strengthening offshore wind education across Europe.
