The second session of the Introduction to Offshore (Wind) Energy Course took place last week at TKF (Twentsche Kabelfabriek) in Eemshaven, bringing together students, educators and industry partners to learn more about offshore cable technology β€” an essential link between sea-based wind farms and onshore power networks.

Highlights of the session included:

  • Insightful talks by Laurens Pots (TKF), Berdien Stoker (Hulst Innovation Cable Equipment) and Andrea M. (Noorderpoort)

  • A closer look at the people and partnerships behind successful offshore cable solutions

  • Discussions on the future needs for skills and training in the sector

The session sparked valuable discussions about how education and industry can work together to build the skilled workforce needed for Europe’s green energy future.
