Erasmus+ Funding Drives the T-shore Project to Tackle Offshore Wind Skills Shortage

The offshore wind industry is a cornerstone of Europe’s transition to green energy, but it faces a significant challenge: a shortage of skilled workers to meet growing demand. Thanks to Erasmus+ funding, the T-shore project is addressing this challenge by developing a European network of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) for offshore wind energy.

Key Achievements

Through Erasmus+ support, the T-shore project has:

  • Established Regional CoVEs: These centres are tailored to local strengths while contributing to a harmonised European approach.
  • Harmonised Education and Training: We’ve developed standardised modules to equip offshore wind technicians with the skills needed across regions.
  • Fostered Collaboration: By connecting education providers, industry leaders, and policymakers, we’re building a sustainable ecosystem for vocational excellence.

Shaping the Future

Our CoVEs not only address immediate workforce needs but also ensure long-term sustainability by sharing infrastructure, expertise, and resources across Europe. By harmonising education, we’re preparing the workforce to meet the demands of this growing sector and helping Europe achieve its green transition goals.
